Okay. So H is not so great with compliments. She tries, but sometimes, they aren't as flattering once spoken as they sound in her head. Let me provide an example:
Friend N and I ran a mud run. After the mud run, we got free soap -- apparently, this is a thing. So upon returning home, I shower and used the free peppermint soap, which resulted in this conversation...
H: "Yumm. You smell so fresh and clean...like a tampon."
I look at her blankly.
H: "You know, like a clean diaper."
I continue to look at her, raising my brow, which prompts her to continue.
H: "...like fresh linen?"
I told her I'd accept that. Sometimes, I have no clue how to take her compliments.
